Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes...

Hi,
Yes, we are still with the theme "All About Me". I got a new keyboard from Best Buy so we are ready to get back to work. A couple of days ago, we tried to explore more about ourselves so we learnt our body parts. Basic, ha? Well, Sarah knows all of her body parts since she was less than 1.5 years old but she knows them in Arabic so it was time to know them in English and add an extra element of fun to that. Thanks so much for the great resources from where I printed all the materials, they are 2TeachingMommiesmomto2boys24 and homeschoolshare. I am not very good at talking so I'll comment on the pictures describing what we were doing. Here:

Showing flashcards! As you can see, Farida was more interested in grabbing them :)

Tracing!

I can see a lot of improvement in cutting with scissors!

See, how serious she was!

Of course, this is a very well known game where you cut face parts of different people from magazines and your child glue them randomly creating funny faces. She didn't know what to expect in the beginning so she was very serious about it until she saw her final products and started laughing.

Counting & Circling!
Finally, Sarah could count without for my approve, kwim?
And now, she can recognize the numbers 11-20
and can count up to 14 (still working on 15-20)

Of course, she couldn't write her eyes color or hair color
but I asked these questions orally and she knew the answer to them.

By the way, Sarah isn't convinced that there are blue or green eyes ignoring the fact that daddy has beautiful blue/green eyes.

Patterns!

Puzzles!

Finding the differences!
Sarah could only find the very obvious differences like different colors
but she couldn't find opposite direction differences or more complicated things,
good start :)

Head, shoulders, knees & Toes...

and eyes and ears and nose and mouth...

Head, Shoulders, Knees & Toes.

We do the Hokey Pokey and we turn around!

Sisters Love!

Thank you for joining us, please come back soon.
Love,
