Love is everywhere!

Hello everyone,
You are all over Valentine but we are still celebrating love in our home :) Our country is passing through some serious issues and we try to overcome this with love (You can say it is our way of distracting ourselves and the kids).
Here:

Some heart fingerprints (Mine & Sarah's)

Counting (Sarah can count up to 20 now :)

Sarah loves to wear her chef's costume whenever she helps me in the kitchen.
Thank you for being with us.
Love,

Love is in the water!

Hi,
Thank you Growing A Jeweled Rose for the inspirations, your baths have always amazed me. A few days ago, I tried a Valentine themed bath and it was a huge hit with my girls. Simple set-up: foam hearts, lips, glowers, roses, cupid arrows, flower petals, food coloring and red bath paint :)

Today, we continued some of our work. It isn't finished yet because Farida interrupted us and Sarah doesn't like to be interrupted but here is what we have done (These all were free packs from Here and Here):
1. Matching Upper Case letters with Lower Case letters:

2. Completing the missing letters (arranging them in order)

3. Sending the flowers to teh girls by following letter "V"

Coloring according to the number/color code:

I prepared also these number matching hearts but we haven't played with them yet.

Thank you for being with us, hope you have enjoyed as much as we have enjoyed your company.

Late!

Hi all,
I know everyone has finished "back to school" theme, we also did but I am late in blogging so here it is. First, I have to mention that I am impressed with Sarah. In a couple of months (in which we rarely did any activity), she is able to use the scissors pretty well. She is counting now till 20. She knows how to do patterns and sort according to size. I think her daycare helped in this a lot.

On the other hand, Little Miss Farida is driving me bonkers. She is screaming non stop, how dare we take something from her? She takes everything from Sarah and throws it away. Sarah can't take it anymore and is starting to play rough with her. Farida is also able to walk 5-6 steps on her own. However, she doesn't say any words, not even baba or mama. She does random sounds but not a word. It is starting to concern me :(

Here we go, thank you 2teachingmommies, I printed all the materials from there:

Sharpening the pencil, lol!

Scavenger hunt!

I have no idea what caused this face!

Sorting according to size

Phonics

This tongue was out throughout the whole cutting process, lol

Roll & graph!

One Title Won't Fit All!

Hi,
I am sorry we've been away for a while now but of course you can guess that I've ruined my new schedule, thanks to Turkish episodes that make me awake throughout the night :)
So let's get back to work.
We went to an imagination playground. For those who hears about these playgrounds for the first time, Imagination Playground is a breakthrough play space concept conceived and designed by internationally acclaimed architect David Rockwell. The mission of Imagination Playground is to encourage child-directed, unstructured creative “free play,” the kind of play that experts say is critical to a child’s intellectual, social, physical and emotional development. Free play leads to creative minds, which in turn will lead to greater innovation in all aspects of human endeavor and problem solving. So do you think Sarah enjoyed it? Well, mommy definitely enjoyed it way more. I have a very cautious toddler, she weighs things before doing them and decides whether she can or can't do them. Even when she was an infant, she was also cautious. Sometimes, I blame myself for that because I accuse myself of causing it but looking back, I think it is just her nature. Don't get me wrong, we were raised in a way that forbids us from getting dirty or wet, playing risky games, ...etc so I used to do that in the first years with Sarah and that's why I blame myself. Anyway, I had to play every single thing in this playground so that she can join me and she did :) Of course, I didn't take many pictures because I was having fun playing but here:

She was happy to ride her car for the first time outside.

^^^Back to her comfort zone :)

Yesterday, we had our Mad Science Sunday. We had some "Do not open these bottles", "erupting volcanoes" and "goop".

Farida was happy getting showered with water.

Forget about opening it, let's squeeze it :)

Bad photos but watch how Interested Farida was.

We loved these colors.

Why did I let this happen? lol.
In the past I wouldn't have but now, I'm OK with it
although I'm still cleaning after this mess.

And some little Math too, 2 Do-a-dot sheets and a dice. Who finishes first? Unfortunately, I did.

Thank you for joining us, hope you had some fun.
Love,
